CodeRED is a free emergency notification service that sends critical communications and emergency information through phone calls, text messages, emails, social media and the CodeRED Mobile Alert app.
Gloucester County government and public safety officials will use the system to keep residents informed of local events that may immediately impact the safety of you, your family, and/or business.
Alerts may be sent to the entire community, or specific neighborhoods using the CodeRED system. CodeRED Weather Warning will alert all subscribed residents within the direct path of severe weather.
CodeRED messages may include the following messages, depending on the discretion of the local alerting authority:
- Boil Water Advisories
- Criminal Activity
- Emergency Evacuation Notices
- Emergency Preparedness
- Missing Children
- Public Health Crisis
CodeRED Weather Warning notifications are automatically sent out moments after a severe thunderstorm, tornado or flash flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service. Only residents in the immediate area of impact will be alerted.
Your contact information remains private and will only be used for community notifications and weather alerts. You may also receive alerts in other geographical areas that use CodeRED for community notifications while traveling.
