Unless otherwise stated, deadlines are one week prior to the activity. Activities have maximum capacities, once reached, registration ends and wait lists are formed.
Register for the classes online. Cash or Check are the only forms of payment collected in the Ranger Station at Beaverdam Park.
Beaverdam Park Spring Programs
KIDS GRAND SLAM FISHING TOURNAMENT
Beaverdam is hosting our 2nd Annual Grand Slam Fishing Tournament for children. 1 Perch, 1 Bass, and 1 Crappie. Biggest bag takes the prize. Children are welcome to fish from shore or from a boat. Adults are welcome to fish with the children, but the fish must be hooked and pulled in by the child. For ages 16 and under, from 8am-2pm. Fee is $25 per child. Boat rental fees not included. SPRING HOMESCHOOL SERIES
Come down to Beaverdam Park to get some supplemental programing for your homeschoolers. We will offer some unique activities to help reinforce their lessons through the school year and bring in some local experts to teach essential life skills. Parents are required to stay with children during program. Ages 5 to 16. March 6, April 17, May 1. Meet at the Whitcomb Lodge. $2 per child/per day. 10 am – noon. Registration Numbers #50904:03-05.
GUIDED PADDLE TRIPS
Join us for some relaxing paddles guided by park staff to explore the beautiful Beaverdam Reservoir. Observe the local wildlife and enjoy the tranquility of the lake. Bring your own canoes and kayaks or rent them from the park. Bring your camera and binoculars if you have them and feel free to bring bird identification material as well. Call Ranger station or visit website for more details. Programs are $5 per person and rental fees are additional!

SPRING BREAK & HOMESCHOOLERS CAMP
Everyone enjoys Camp at Beaverdam Park! Fun filled days of nature activities, crafts, and making some new friends. Pack a lunch and dress for the weather. Space is limited, register early! The Camp is for 5-12 year olds and starts at the Whitcomb Lodge at 9am and pick up at 1pm. For Spring Break Camp join us on April 2nd, 3rd & 4th for $15 per child per day Registration Numbers #70904:04-06. Deadline to register is March 29, 2019. TANDEM CANOE INSTRUCTION
A canoe is a great way to explore the many parts of Beaverdam Reservoir and other local bodies of water which can be inaccessible to motorized watercraft. This course offers instruction which will allow you to maneuver a canoe through stump fields, shallows, and narrow channels to access some of the more remote and beautiful parts of the lake. You may bring your own partner or we can pair you up with another participant. Ages 16 and up. April 28th . 12 to 2pm. FREE. Registration Number #50604:08 . Deadline April 19, 2019.
BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE ARCHERY
Join us for an introductory archery class perfect for beginners or delve deeper into the history and different styles of archery in our intermediate class. The Archery course is taught by certified USA Archery instructors. The courses are designed to be fun, informative and challenging. Classes build on each other. Must have attended 2 archery classes previously at Beaverdam in order to enroll for intermediate class. For ages 10-18. Space is limited to 10 Participants. $10 per session. Deadline to register is the Wednesday before each class. Beginner classes: March 10, March 24, April 28th from 2-3:30pm. Registration Numbers #50104:01-03. MIGRATORY BIRD & OWL WALKS
Join our Beaverdam Birders for some bird searching both day and night. The groups will walk trails and along the water’s edge so wear appropriate footwear. Bring your binoculars, camera and bird identification book if you have one. For the Migratory Walk: Program is free and open to all ages but registration is required. March 16, 2019. 8am – 10am. CAMP PREVIEW DAY
Interested in summer camp? Join us for a FREE Camp Preview Day. We will have stations set up throughout the park for youth to try some of the activities they will experience at camp. Activities will include kayaking, archery, ninja training, crafts and more! Ages 5-14. May 4th, 2019 from 9am to 1pm meet at the Whitcomb Lodge. Deadline to Register April 26th, 2019. SELF DEFENSE WORKSHOP - BY WOMEN FOR WOMEN
Join us on April 19th, 2019 in the Whitcomb Lodge at Beaverdam Park for an exciting women's personal protection and self defense workshop. Learn effective techniques that you can use right away to keep yourself safe including how to properly use pepper spray. Taught by women for women. Ages 16 and up. Join us May 11th, 2019 for a night under the stars at Beaverdam Park's first ever "Youth Lock-Out"! There will be games, social time, sunset fishing, a night hike and more at this after hours exclusive experience. Please bring a water bottle and flashlight. Pizza will be provided. $15 per kid. World Laughter Day at Beaverdam Park’s Smith Shelter
Please join the Gloucester Laughter Club in celebrating World Laughter Day with an hour of Laughter Yoga. Laughter Yoga combines laughter exercises with yoga breathing without the difficult yoga poses. This event is free and perfect for all ages & abilities. World Laughter Day’s mission is to bring good health, happiness and world peace through laughter.
